I'm Greg Shingles, an applied-AI and full-stack engineer in Australia. My view is that most AI work fails not at the model but at the discipline around it, so that's where I spend my effort: evaluation, versioning, and the plain engineering that keeps a system maintainable.

The path here ran through a decade of production .NET and TypeScript — order orchestration across a dozen storefronts into 3PL and ERP systems, commercial print automation, multi-tenant SaaS, and web-to-print personalisation for beverage brands you'd recognise (Victoria Bitter, Carlton, and others, built with a team). For the last several years it's been AI products, end to end: HeySomm, and a legal-AI retrieval platform I'm bringing to release.

The one genuine obsession is wine, which I treat with the same seriousness as the work — HeySomm is where the two meet. Available for contract work, remote, AEST, flexible worldwide.
